Ordered the tune and now turbos. Looking forward to getting them installed on my SHO.
After getting everything setup, letting the computer re-learn the shifting, and living with the car for a month and a half i'm very happy! One thing to note is to install the hardware first EXCEPT the 3 BAR MAP sensor. Once you have your tuning file from Matt I installed the MAP sensor, flashed the ECU and it started with no problems the first time with no codes.
Now, driving the car after the tune and the car re-learned itself the upshifts are very crisp and fast at WOT, the downshifts are smooth and snappy, and in sport mode the trans is a real treat. It allows for 6th unlike stock but it very eager to drop a gear. My highway fuel or 2 lane 55mph roads have improved over stock, and driving gingerly will net a small return. You'll likely have a hard time staying out of the boost however. The gain in torque is very apparent and the HP is too, to a lesser extent. Overall i'm quite happy, this is the experience I wanted from the car day 1 and I regret not doing it sooner.
if there's a con to be had, it would be the new recommended 40-50K spark plug interval, but if you're handy it's no problem.

Seems, great got here in good time. I got it installed except for the tune file that I am still waiting on but am hopingthat it will come tomorrow. Then I'll know ifit's as good as they say.
Installed plugs, sensor and tune and it almost destroyed my engine, wouldn't run, knocked hard and loud pop and stopped engine dead. Reset to stock and tried running it, engine stumbled and died. Replaced sensor with stick sensor, runs smooth thankfully. Sent two emails with no response, I called and got told buying the higher tune doesn't mean it comes with the higher tune and that i needed to email them to get it emailed to me. So did that,and so far no response. Hoping this gets me some support?
Incredible modification. Would recommend to any SHO owner who wants more power and a nice tune.
I order the gearhead performance pack for my 2016 Taurus SHO. Installation was fairly easy and to say it woke the car up is a huge understatement. If I could give it 10 stars I would. Highly recommend
You guys did a great job with the tune — wow, what a difference it made! The power feels a lot stronger, throttle response is sharper, and the shifts are noticeably smoother. It really wakes the SHO up in a fun way. I'm happy with the performance gains.
The only thing that held me back from giving it a full 5 stars is that the instructions could have been a bit more detailed for someone doing this for the first time. A few extra steps would have helped, like exactly how to load the tune onto the X4 using the SCT software, how to use the tuner on the car, and how to convert the data logging files. Once I figured it out (with a little help from YouTube), everything worked smoothly.
Overall, I'd still recommend the Power Pack to anyone looking for a solid upgrade.

This power pack is the best power per dollar mod for this platform. Matt at gearhead was super helpful with any questions and had a quick reply. Installation was pretty easy. 100/10 would recommend.
