These converters fix the weakest link in the 6F55 Transmission. All versions of the converters are remanufactured with reinforced internal fins and larger and stronger lock up clutch frictions. The stock stall version is recommended for stock turbochargers and simply does everything better than stock. The mid-stall version is recommended for our Gen 3 turbochargers or similar and adds 400-500 RPMs of stall over stock. The high stall version is recommended for laggy, larger turbos and will be noticeably "loose" around town and adds approximately 1000 RPMs over stock stall speeds.
Note: Most models will use the "3-Pad" style mounting system. If you have an early model with the "4-pad" converter, you can change to the later flywheel or get in touch with us about a special order of a compatible model. A higher core charge will apply to the 4-pad model because of scarcity. Please contact us for a special order and DO NOT order directly from the website if you need the 4-pad model.
